On behalf of the staff at Aquidneck School, I extend a warm welcome to our new and returning students for the 2023-2024 school year. I look forward to meeting and reacquainting with our school family. I am eager for an exciting and challenging academic year and look forward to working as a TEAM to support your child's learning this school year.

Aquidneck is a Pre-K to Grade 3 elementary school located in Middletown, Rhode Island. Our school has a dynamic staff that continually challenges and supports our 400 students in every way possible. We follow the common core state standards and strive to offer a rigorous curriculum in which each and every child meets or exceeds their expected growth targets.

In addition to standards-based instruction in ELA, Math, and Science, our students enjoy art, music, PE and health classes. We have a full computer lab as well as laptop carts throughout our classrooms. Integrating technology within our curriculum has become a common practice as we embark on a district wide digital transformation.

We have a fabulous parent teacher group that sponsors many wonderful events, assemblies, and field trips for our students to enjoy. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved with their child's educational experiences.

And we can’t forget to mention SHARKIE. He is our amazing school mascot. He teaches us the 3 Shark KEYS to LEARNING. Be safe. Be responsible. Be Respectful.
